International Congress and Exhibition «Non-Ferrous Metals and Minerals» is an annual event taking place every September in Krasnoyarsk. It includes specialized conferences such as “Aluminum of Siberia”, “Metallurgy of non-ferrous and rare metals” and “Gold of Siberia”. Within the Congress several round table discussions, work-shops, seminars and courses of overview lectures are organized. In the frame of the Exhibition Russian and foreign companies presented their developments, technologies, materials and equipment for mining and metallurgical industry. In addition to business part of the Congress the participants are invited to visit technical industrial plants and scientific centers of Krasnoyarsk Krai as well as cultural centers of the region.
More than 600 officers of 230 companies from 33 countries of the World participate in the Congress and Exhibition (including Great Britain, Germany, the Netherlands, Israel, India, UAE, Norway, China, USA, France, Belgium, Bahrain, Brazil, Australia, Jamaica, South Africa and others). More than 300 reports are presented during the Congress covering the following topics:
Mineral and raw materials sources of non-ferrous and precious metals
Up-to-date technologies of mineral raw materials extraction
Alumina and bauxite production
Non-ferrous and rare metals production
Aluminum reduction
Precious metals production
Carbon and carbon materials

Non-Ferrous Metals and Minerals Congress and Exhibition is an important step in the program of training of young experts. In the course of discussions conventional approaches to training of engineers were considered as well as variants of interaction between universities and mining- metallurgical companies at the final stage of education. In addition, students and post-graduates, who achieved meaningful results in the aforementioned topics, were invited to participate in the Congress for presentation of their reports.
